A family winery

A family in love with wine

In our family winery, we feel a great passion for what we do. We love our vineyards and the secrets hidden in the land, and we enjoy creating our wines. We like to experiment and learn at every step of the process, seeking continuous improvement. We are a family that loves wine and we put all our heart into each bottle. We want to share with everyone the fruit of our work and the joy we get from seeing how our wines are enjoyed. This is how we live and celebrate our love for wine.

Bodegas Federico, founded in 1986

Federico Fernández was the founder of the winery. He began this love affair with wine in 1986, in Pesquera de Duero, together with his wife Celia Rodríguez. Since then, the objective of Bodegas Federico has been to harvest excellent grapes, practicing quality viticulture to obtain uniform wines made from 100% Tempranillo in American oak.

In Pesquera de Duero, a town with a long winemaking tradition, the winery progressed and Federico and Celia’s children were born, at the same time as their trellised vineyards were being planted and the winery building was being filled with barrels for aging.

With much effort and dedication from Celia and Federico, the family winery was consolidated as a result of the combination of excellent nature and the winemaking techniques that we have always applied in the family.

The winery, located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, has large, modern facilities based on advanced winemaking design and technology that guarantee the most suitable winemaking process for obtaining high quality wines.

Currently, this exciting family project continues with their children, thanks to the generosity of Celia Rodriguez and Federico Fernandez, founders of the winery.
